Hillsboro Federated Woman's Club
The women of the GFWC Hillsboro Federated Woman's Club welcome you. We are a group that always has "something going on" We are led by Rebecca Ball who has great expertise in organization and represents us at the district, as well as, state conventions. The Hillsboro Federated Woman's Club was formed in 1967 with a focus on Libraries and community improvement. Club history in Hillsboro includes workshops on learning disabilities, making sack lunches for Special Olympics, local park landscaping, a panel discussion re. Teen Suicide, and initiating the Washington County Deputy Bear Program in 1988.
Today’s variety of projects include support of: Tuality Breast Health Services, SOLVE Oregon, service to Veterans, helping our local schools, the Oregon Food Bank, Pacific University’s Amigo’s eye program, local Arts, Domestic Violence Awareness, Child Abuse Prevention, etc. Membership in the Hillsboro Federated Woman’s Club offers volunteer opportunities with rewarding results. It provides friendships, stimulates civic consciousness, trains for leadership, and there’s a true feeling of fullment through volunteering.
