Bunko Fundraiser
Silverton Zenith Women's Club
Activities:

Layettes:  For newborns in need at Silverton Hospital.  Shop and  work parties put together layettes for hospital & high school students in  need of assistance. Usually 2 work parties per year, in fall and spring.

Scholarships:  From Fundraising for High School graduates each spring.

Bingo:  Major Fundraiser for the Tree of Giving. Specialty baskets are raffled off.  Usually in Oct./Nov.   Members bring prizes & contribute to raffle prizes.  Often Silverton High  Students help us with set up and clean up.

Bunko:  Fundraiser for our general fund.  Members responsible for inviting guests to attend.  Held at Elks Lodge, usually in  April.

Summer Picnic:  Fun and fundraising, with friends invited   also.  Potluck plus donation items, such as vacation retreat, homemade items,  specialty baskets.  Funds toward our general fund and special needs.

Tree of Giving:  Donated Christmas trees are placed in  area businesses, with attached "wish cards" for new clothing for children in  need.  Community members can purchase gifts, and Zenith buys for children whose  cards are not chosen.   This is a collaborative effort of the Silverton community.  Fund raisers,  grants and donations help pay for needed items.  Members shop, gather donated  gifts, meet to wrap and distribute gifts.  All members help with this
time-consuming project during the busy holiday season.

Town Square Park:  Spring and fall cleanup work days, collaborative with high school students.  Weeding planting, pruning, decorating  for holidays and spring.
